 | Our stud, our passion...The stud originated as a result of both fate and passion. It was the birth of my youngest daughter that started our long and exciting journey with horses. As a young girl her room was filled with small plastic horses and her dreams of one day owning her very own horse were plentiful. When I realized how serious this passion was I decided to buy her an adorable pony, called Whitey. As the years passed she grew even more interested in the equestrian world and later Mooihoek-Vrolik was bought, so that she could start practising and later, taking part in competitions. Vrolik was a SA Boerperd mare and she was close to foaling when we got her. This was the primary reason for me registering a stud, as it would be the only way we could register her new foal. |
As time flew by, more horses joined our family, and slowly our stud was growing into what it is today. Now we are proud to say that our horses are 99% pure A2's and their exceptional temperament are only one of many aspects that set them apart from other boerperde.
I strongly believe that our horses still belong to God, and that I am blessed with the privilege of taking care and looking after them. "The joy that our horses have brought us cannot be measured in any way."
From day one, our foals are handled with love. This approach has gone apart with so much peace and joy that it has become an important goal in the taming of our horses. None of our horses has ever shown any fear or aggression towards people and they are always excited to come in contact with humans.- Harmonie horses are known for their exceptional intelligence and their willingness to please. They have also achieved great highs in the South African equestrian circut.
... Our horses has multiplied since the days of Vrolik and it has now become a challenge to continue our hands on stud approach, thus it is our vision to send our horses into the world, by doing so we will be sharing the joy they have brought to us, with others, both young and old.
